What should you do if you breakdown?
You should always be prepared incase of a Breakdown. Carry a mobile phone or some loose change and the number of a recovery company or your Breakdown Insurance Details. If you do suffer the misfortune of a breakdown the following tips should help you.
Try to pull off the road and park in a safe, well lit place.
Make sure you use your hazard warning lights.
Place a warning triangle on the road at least 45 metres (147 feet)
behind
your broken down vehicle on the same side of the road as your car. Don't use a warning triangle on the Motorway.
Keep your sidelights on if the visibility is poor or if it is dark.
Lock the doors and call for help from your mobile phone or from a payphone.
