Pet travel

An interview with a travelling dog

If you are planning to travel with your pet in the car, there are a few things that you need to do to prepare for your journey. In an interview with Bart the dog, I found out some of the things you need to consider as a pet owner.

I need lots of water when I am traveling but I don't like to eat too much before I get into the car because I sometimes suffer from travel sickness.

In the summer when it's warm, it gets very hot in the car. I overheat very quickly so it's a good idea to travel first thing in the morning or later at night when it is a little cooler, and not as busy on the road.

My owner always makes sure I have my collar and ID tag just in case I get lost.

On a long journey, I get very stiff just like you do. I need to stretch my legs, go to the loo and have a drink at regular intervals.

I get excited when I realize we are stopping to stretch our legs. I don't like being on a lead, but In a strange place its good to stay next to my owner.

If I get ill when I am on a trip I have a special insurance so I can get the best treatment.

I love hanging my head out of the car window, but the last time I did this, we had to use that special pet insurance!
